The Adirondack Guide

Winslow Homer

Homer is best known for New England seascapes. The Adirondaks were, however, a favorite vacation spot as this watercolor suggests. Unlike his Hudson River predecessors, Homers guide is not apart from the wilderness - rather almost seems to melt into it.
